More Than a Ballet School

We’re a specially designed dance program for tiny dancers 18 months to 12 years and teens 13-18

Parent-Tot
1 ½ to 3yrs old with Parent or Guardian | 45 min

Class is specifically designed for the young child that loves to move and dance with music. Emphasis is placed on both fine and gross motor skill development, coordination and balance in a safe nurturing environment that encourages parent involvement.

Ballet Tap Acro Combination Class
Ages 2 ½ to 3 and 4 to 5 | 1 hr

These classes cater to our 2½ – 5 year old dancers. Class includes basic technique, stretching, movement to music, playing educational games, and going across the floor for ballet and tap.

Pre-Primary Ballet
Ages 3 to 4 | 1 hr

Pre-Primary Ballet is an introduction to dance using creative movement and very basic ballet steps and terminology. Through movement games and activities children will learn and practice spatial awareness, rhythm, balance and coordination as well as be encouraged to take direction from the instructor and share turns with peers.

Primary Ballet
Ages 5 to 6 | 1 hr

An introduction to ballet with beginning development of ballet concepts including turn out, coordination, spacial awareness and a specific focus on class etiquette. Students will begin the positions of the feet, and introductory movement vocabulary.

Primary Ballet 2 and 3
Ages 7-9 | 1 hr

Class opens with a series of exercises at the barre followed by stretches, ballet positions and combinations in the center. Students begin to learn how to connect the barre and center work as they gain strength and musicality.

Ballet Grade 1
Ages 8-10 | 1 hr

The goal of Ballet Grade 1 is to impart the fundamentals of classical ballet. In ballet 1 students learn more challenging exercises at the barre. Students continue stretching and center work as they progress in strength and musicality.

Ballet Grade 2
Ages 10-12 | 1½ hrs

As with each grade, students are invited to Grade 2 after they have demonstrated full understanding of the previous grade. Students continue to progress with challenging exercises at the barre. Class is an hour and a half so students can concentrate on more center work to strengthen technique and musicality.

Contemporary / Jazz
Offered at all ages

Our Contemporary and Jazz classes fuse various dance styles from funk to ballet. After basic jazz and modern style warm-up exercises, students learn to express their creative selves while concentrating on having fun and building strength, rhythm, and lyricism.

Tap
Offered at all ages

Tap is an exciting form of dance in which dancers use their feet like percussion instruments to create rhythmic patterns and timely beats. In a relaxed, encouraging and energetic environment, students will learn single tap steps, then incorporate them into series of combinations.
